Howdy, my name is Kyle! As previously mentioned, I enjoy developing dynamic websites, creating integrated systems, and experimenting with interactive data visualizations. Lately, I've really enjoyed being involved in the front of the stack - especially using React or Vue. Let me tell you a bit about me that my resume doesn't already say!
Here's a fun-fact: I'm still hoping that
"Snowfall" journalistic web design becomes a more popular concept.
Currently, I'm working as an Junior Developer at LAIKA Entertainment. Most of my work centers around a widely-utilized React map app and PyQt upgrades. I dedicate much of my free time to the React.js front-end of OperationCode.org. In August, I finished a contract with Charter Communications utilizing Vue.js and Django REST Framework. Any other bit of free time I've got will be used to work through an O'Reilly book on test-driven development with Django - "Obey The Testing Goat". Additionally, I'm really interested in learning Go, redesigning my personal website, and using API Star.
If I'm not coding or watching a concert, you will likely find me eternally suffering as a fan of Arsenal Football Club or eating Taco Bell (or "Taco Bae" as I so fondly refer to it). I've just got one online course remaining before earning my degree at the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration.
Most importantly, I'm job-hunting!
